SSC MTS is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Multi-tasking Staff for various government departments and offices. The exam is conducted in two stages – Paper 1 (CBT) and Paper 2 (PBT). This year, Paper 1 is scheduled from August 2 – September 8, 2019 and November 17, 2019 for Paper 2.

General category candidates have to pay INR 100 as the application fee and other categories are exempt from restoration fee.
Paper 1 consists of objective questions and Paper 2 descriptive questions. Check SSC MTS Exam Pattern
Paper 1 is qualifying in nature while Paper 2 will determine the merit of the candidate to appear for document verification process.
The multi-tasking staff is a general central service group ‘C’ non-gazetted, non-ministerial post that falls under Payband-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800. The in-hand salary comes to be around Rs.18000- Rs.22000.
Staff Selection Commission has decided to normalize the scores for all its examinations that are held in multiple shifts. Candidates in different shifts get question paper sets with varying difficulty level so to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of candidates performances Normalization is used. The below Normalization formula is used along with the assumption that in all the shifts, the distribution of abilities of candidates is same.
